The reagent kit is intended for early non-invasive diagnosis of prostate cancer by detecting the chimeric TMPRSS2-ERG gene and determining the expression level of the PCA3 gene, specific for prostate cancer, in relation to the level of the KLK3 gene, characteristic only for prostate tissue.
Advantages
- The test uses 2 targets.
- It is an additional criterion when prescribing a patient for a primary or repeated prostate biopsy.
- It is possible to take samples for research without specially preparing the patient.
- The risk of contamination is reduced due to including the uracil-DNA-glycosylase (UDG) and 2'-deoxyuridine-5'-triphosphate (dUTP) in the reaction mixture.
